Networking is rad. In February I met a videographer named Ken (imagine that) at a wedding expo in Tacoma. We talked about business, technology, the usual, and agreed we’d like to work together at some point if the opportunity ever arose. Ken runs highdefmemories.com in Tacoma.
A month or so ago Ken and I are talking, he tells me about this “Lounge Acts” Kurt Cobain Memorial show going on in Aberdeen/Hoquiam. Asks me if I’m interested in running a camera for him. Volunteer, no pay. Without thinking much about it I said I would.
From olyblog.net

Being 30 years old places me squarely in 8th grade at Reeves Middle School when the album “Nevermind” came out. Saying that my life was influenced by the music of Kurt Cobain would be an understatement. I said “yes” before I heard the name “Harvey Danger.” Though that name did sweeten the deal.
Here is a commercial I’ve seen floating around the interwebs.
I’m pretty stoked about it. A great opportunity to film some cool bands in memorial of a musician who massively impacted popular music and the way it was perceived at the time and hence. He had a profound effect on my own life, and the lives of millions.
